Nicholas Bazin: Head Coach and High Performance Director

Nicholas was born and raised in the far, far away province of Québec. He grew up skiing at Mont Sainte-Anne, and began his 12 year coaching career there. He has since coached for Vancouver and Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Clubs. Nicholos is bringing his years of experience and high level of training to the Jasper Freeride Ski Team.

Nicholas is really just a fun-loving kid at heart!

Jordan Ellen: Development Team Coach

Jordan grew up in Sudbury, Ontario where he began skiing at the age of three. As a teenager he became involved in racing and began instructing at 16. In 2000, Jordan started with the Marmot Basin Ski School. In 2004, he returned to Sudbury where he spent 3 years as Program Supervisor at Adanac Ski Hill. Jordie's in Jasper now, this is his forth year coaching with Jasper Freeride.

Jordan finds it difficult to leave his skis on the snow for any extended period of time.

Eddie Wong: Club Team Coach

Eddie's first experience skiing was at Lake Eden (a half hour west of Edmonton). He was 19, on borrowed gear, and had a blast, and from that point on avidly pursued the sport. Prior to joining the Jasper Freeride Coaching Team (2009/10), he worked for many years with the Marmot Basin Ski School and the Jasper Ski Team (Nancy Greene). So he's no stranger to the Marmot Basin Resort.

Eddie's always looking for a new challenge. It keeps him passionate about the sport. Eddie's got a good eye.

Rob Wood: Club Team Coach

Rob grew up skiing at Panorama; with a dad from Switzerland and a mom from New Zealand, other sports were not an option. Rob has worked with the Marmot Basin Ski School for the past 5 years. This is his first year (2009/10) coaching the Jasper Freeride Team.

Rob thinks tricks aren't just for kids.

This is the second year that Angus has committed to Jasper Freeride. That's dedication since he drives from Edmonton. Although he's only part-time with the club, he goes full-on when on the slopes.
